I'm sure most of you know that there was a total lunar eclipse on Wednesday night. It was our second total lunar eclipse in less than six months. We were in Alaska for the August 29 event, and now here, on Tilloo, for this one. Kind of interesting...in August (summer) we were pretty cold, probably in the high 30s. Now in January (winter), we enjoyed temps in the lower 70s!

Skies were pretty cloudy most of the day on Wednesday, so we were worried about whether or not we were going to be able to see the event. Between 8 and 10 it was still cloudy, but there were intermittent views of the shrinking moon.

We stood out on the dock and had a terrific view as the moon was slowly "eaten" by the earth's shadow...

Just before totality, the clouds cleared and the orange moon floated in the black sky.

We're making good progress on all out projects...Paula has read four books and walked on the beach twice a day. I've finished one book and removed about 2000 pounds of lumber from the site of our former house. Maybe some pictures of that project next time.
