After leaving St. Paul's after 7 1/2 years, Sam went to Florida Military School (Deland) for the rest of the 8th grade and then to Seabreeze HS. He attended DBCC and got his AS degree and then went to FSU, and received a BS in Business Management and an MBA.

He Went to work for a small stock brokerage firm on Seabreeze Blvd in Daytona Beach. in 1970. That firm got bought out by Raymond James & Associates in 1974. Sam remained there as a Financial Advisor (and manager for about 10 yrs.) for his entire career. He retired in September, 2006.

He is married to Julie, and they have 2 daughters and 4 grand daughters (and a female cat!!!). They live half the year in Ormond Beach and half in Sylva, NC, high up in the mountains. Sam says, "Summers are beautiful up here."

Golf and fishing (salt water) are his passions.
