WORK HISTORY
Started on a line crew as a helper, served in many capacities through my 42 years, retiring as Northeast Area Transmission Manager. 1989 lead facilitator in leading FP&L to successfully winning the Deming Award for Quality.

This was the first time the award had been presented to a company outside of Japan by the Japaneses Union of Scientist and Engineers.

Took many classes at FP&L to enhance my education and qualify for promotions.

Worked two months in Miami restoring power after hurricane Andrew.

Twice received award from Southeast Electric Exchange for innovative concrete pole designs.

FAMILY
Joanne and I will celebrate 50 years of marriage in Dec 2012. Joanne retired in 2009 after 40 years at Brown& Brown insurance.

John is married to Claudia, they have two children, Mathew and Michael. John graduated from Mainland and University of Central Florida. He has his own Allstate insurance agency and is a city commissioner in Holly Hill. They live in Holly Hill, Fl.

Scott is married to Tracy, they have three children, Jordan, Parker and Alicia. Scott graduated from Lopez and Vanderbilt University. He is President at Brown and Brown insurance. They live in Lake Mary, Fl.

Michelle is married to Alan Johnson, they have three children, Brandon, Alex and Victoria. Michelle graduated from Lopez and the University of West Florida with a nursing degree. She works for the State of Florida, Children's Medical Service. They live in Port Orange, Fl.

HOBBIES
Early on very active in Little League football, basketball and baseball.
Have been a deep sea fisherman for ever.
Enjoy lobstering with family in the Keys.
Traveling and vacationing with family.
Volunteering at food pantry, Halifax Urban Ministries and very active in our Church.
Active in the Florida Sonrise Emmaus community.
Supporter of the Florida Gators.

After HS, went to work for Southern Bell and married my HS sweetheart. In 1965 hired on at Florida Power & Light.

Joanne and I have 3 children- John, Mainland/University of Central Florida, Scott, Lopez/Vanderbilt and Michelle, Lopez/University of West Florida. They have given us 8 grandchildren.

I retired after 43 years with FPL in September of 08. Joanne retired after 40 years with Brown&Brown Ins, in April of 09.

Today we stay busy traveling,fishing,following the FLORIDA GATORS and spoiling our grandkids.
