Barbara Breslin Garcia 7/10/1944-4/23/2001

Barbara went to FSU for a year before transferring to the U of F. She joined the National Teacher Corps in its first year and was stationed in Miami. After receiving her Masters Degree from the U of M she taught social studies for many years in Miami.

Barbara moved to Crescent City where she was a dedicated school teacher in the Putnam County School District, Crescent City, until she became ill; she then worked in the family blueprinting business, Breslin Reproduction Service, Daytona Beach and retired in 2001

Barbara was adventurous and wonderfully creative and positive in every aspect of her life .

Barbara S. Breslin Garcia, 56, North Nova Road, Ormond Beach, died Monday, April 23, 2001. Ms. Garcia was retired from Breslin Reproduction Service. Born in Cincinnati, she moved to Central Florida in 1953. She was a member of the Daytona Beach Advertising Federation which honored her with the Presidents Award last year.

Survivors: daughters, Susanne Garcia, Daytona Beach, Amy Garcia Sampson, Oviedo; father, William Breslin; brothers, Ned Breslin, Daytona Beach, Tom Breslin,, West Chester, Pa., Dennis Breslin, Bradenton; sisters, Nancy Shay, Ormond Beach, Jennifer Preston, Oviedo.
